Purpose of the guideline: Pain is one of the most common symptoms in cancer patients, which significantly affects the patients‘ quality of life. Cancer pain management should be integrated into cancer treatment plans throughout the care continuum. To better guide the whole-course management of cancer pain, National Health Commission Capacity Building and Continuing Education Center has gathered multidisciplinary experts and scholars in relevant fields to formulate the Chinese expert consensus on the whole-process management of cancer pain (2024). Based on the multidisciplinary care model and current clinical evidence and experiences, this expert consensus proposes cancer pain management pathway, to standardize and promote the clinical work of the cancer pain management in China.
