IGEST is a generic tool for screening guidelines for any specialty, target population, and healthcare organization, but it is intended only as a screening tool, primarily for quickly assessing guideline quality and determining whether they can be adopted or adapted in other settings, and is not a substitute for some of the more complex guideline quality evaluation tools.

Genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) is more prevalent among breast cancer patients, with a notable absence of timely and effective diagnosis and treatment, severely impacting patients' quality of life and prognosis. With the improved survival rates of breast cancer patients, the management of cancer has entered an era of chronic disease management. However, there is still a lack of targeted guidelines or consensus for the management of GSM in female breast cancer patients within China. Based on the guideline / expert consensus and the clinical experience of multiple medical centers, the Society of Clinical Cancer Research Administration of China Anti-Cancer Association, Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Committee of China Anti-Cancer Association, Chongqing Federation of Clinical Medical Research, Committee of Urology of Chongqing medical association, and the Society of Onco-endocrinology of Chongqing Anti-Cancer Association thoroughly discussed and formulated the Chinese expert consensus recommendations for management of genitourinary syndrome of menopause in female breast cancer patients (version 2024), in order to further standardize the management of GSM in breast cancer patients.

With the aging of the population, the incidence of hip fractures in the elderly is increasing. Hip fractures in the elderly are at high risk of developing deep vein thrombosis in the lower extremities. All major guidelines clearly state that active prophylaxis, including basic, physical, and pharmacological prophylaxis, should be routinely given in the absence of contraindications. Basic prophylaxis is the basis for other preventive measures and is appropriate for all older patients with hip fractures, as well as an essential complement to pharmacological and mechanical prophylaxis and as an alternative in specific situations. However, at present, the industry has formed an expert consensus or guidelines on mechanical prevention and drug prevention, there are no specific and clear clinical requirements for basic preventive measures, and it is difficult for medical personnel to clarify the specific implementation of basic prevention, and the existing relevant guidelines and consensus are not detailed enough for basic prevention, and standardized guidelines and authoritative expert consensus have not yet been formed. In this context, in order to clarify the specific measures for the basic prevention of perioperative deep vein thrombosis in elderly patients with hip fracture, the purpose of this consensus is to provide specific and reliable practice standards for the basic preventive measures of perioperative deep vein thrombosis in elderly patients with hip fracture, in order to reduce the occurrence of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis, reduce the mortality rate of venous thrombosis, and improve the prognosis of elderly patients with hip fracture.
