Purpose of the guideline: Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is a complex three-dimensional spinal deformity that occurs during the rapid growth and development period of children and adolescents. It has become the third major health issue affecting the physical and mental well-being of children and adolescents in China, following myopia and obesity. Effective prevention and treatment of AIS has become an urgent public health challenge that society needs to address. Current research has confirmed that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) massage therapy, centered around the concept of "muscle relaxation and bone adjustment," can effectively control the progression of the Cobb angle. It has shown clinical efficacy in improving vertebral rotation and alleviating patients' back pain, with good patient compliance. However, due to the numerous schools of thought in Chinese massage and a tendency to "emphasize treatment over assessment," there is a severe lack of systematic and standardized "musculoskeletal assessment" methods to guide the application of "muscle relaxation and bone adjustment" techniques. This leads to inconsistent clinical outcomes, making it difficult to establish a standardized clinical treatment model for widespread application
