Purpose of the guideline: Technological innovation has expanded the clinical application. Variable pulse technology enhances the thermal effect of the 2940nm laser, while long-pulsed technology allows the 1064nm laser to heat subcutaneous tissues and fat more safely to achieve skin rejuvenation, tightening, and fat reduction. To promote the more professional and standardized clinical application of the variable pulse 2940nm laser and long-pulsed 1064nm laser, a consensus writing group composed of experts from plastic surgery, dermatology, laser cosmetology, and burn departments was formed. Based on the current evidence-based medical evidence, clinical practice, and authoritative guidelines from other disciplines, this consensus was developed. It discusses the indications, treatment parameters, contraindications, and precautions of the variable pulse 2940nm laser and long-pulsed 1064nm laser and gives expert recommendations for clinical reference.
