Evidence grading method: As this consensus is not based on a systematic review of evidence-based guidelines, it does not grade the quality of evidence. The recommendations are divided into two levels: "strong recommendation" and "weak recommendation." The strength of the recommendations is determined by a comprehensive assessment of evidence quality, balance of benefits and harms, patient values and preferences, and resource expenditures. The consensus working group convened three full meetings to thoroughly discuss each topic. All recommendations were voted on using the Delphi method. The voting adhered to the following rules: For areas of disagreement, endorsement or opposition to a particular intervention required at least 50% participant agreement, and the proportion of participants holding opposing views needed to be less than 20%; a recommendation would not be made if these criteria were not met. To be classified as a strong recommendation rather than a weak recommendation, a proposal needed to achieve at least 70% participant approval.

Purpose of the guideline: This working group, recognizing the inadequate clinical understanding and low implementation rate of the bronchoprovocation test, has established this consensus with the aim of enhancing the knowledge and operational skills of physicians and technicians regarding the bronchoprovocation test. The objective is to advance the bronchoprovocation test's standardization process and provide a reference for the standardized management of asthma diagnosis and treatment.
