Purpose of the guideline: At present, most nurses manage the safety of AD patients based on experience, lacking evidence-based basis. Although foreign studies have explored the effectiveness of various intervention strategies for the single safety problem of AD patients (falling, losing and agitation), and provided abundant evidence resources for the safety management of AD patients. These evidences are scattered and uneven in quality, which is not conducive to the systematic search and application of nurses, and is not suitable for ensuring the overall safety of AD patients in hospital. The guidelines developed in China involve less content, lack of evidence and orderliness in the safety management of dementia patients. It can be seen that there is a lack of expert consensus and guidelines at home and abroad to comprehensively manage the hospitalization safety of AD patients from the perspective of patient-centered and holistic management. Based on evidence-based nursing, this study evaluates and summarizes the evidence about the safety management of hospitalized AD patients. And, we form a summary of the safety management evidence that is instructive to hospitalized AD patients in China. Delphi method was used to construct expert consensus on safety management of hospitalized AD patients, and practical basis for safety management of hospitalized AD patients was explored. The aim is to reduce the incidence of safety incidents, improve the quality of life of patients and caregivers, and reduce the cost of care.
