Practice Guidelines for Cervical Laminoplasty

Title: Practice Guidelines for Cervical Laminoplasty
Edition: Original
Classification: Standard guideline
Field: Treatment
Countries and regions: China
Guidelines users: This Practiece Guidelines are applied to medical institutions that perform cervical laminoplasty, suitable for medical workers (including physicians, nurse practitioners, etc.) who perform cervical laminoplasty.
Evidence classification method: For the included clinical questions, the clinical questions were deconstructed and searched following the evidence-based medicine literature search format (i.e., PICO principles, including population, intervention, control, and outcome indicators). 1. If systematic reviews within 2 years existed that answered the clinical question and AMSTAR2 (a measurement tool to assess systematic reviews 2) evaluations were of high quality, and did not need to be updated, they were used directly. 2. If multiple systematic reviews existed within 2 years, they were selected or combined based on the quality of the included studies, methodological evaluations. 3. If there were no 2-year systematic reviews within 2 years, systematic reviews were of low quality or needed to be updated, the retrieved evidence was integrated by systematic reviews to answer the clinical question. 4. If the retrieved evidence had fewer studies of the same type of study design and could not be merged, the evidence was summarized and described in a declarative manner. For evidence screening, the Chinese Clinical Practice Evaluation Standards (AGREE-China) was used to evaluate the operational guidelines. Randomized controlled studies (Randomized Controlled Trials) were evaluated by the Modified Jadad Scale. Non-randomized controlled studies were evaluated by the MINORS evaluation entry, and observational studies were evaluated by the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (Newcastle-Ottawa Scale, NOS) for evaluation. Evaluations were done independently by 2 people, with a third researcher participating in the discussion and reaching consensus in case of disagreement. The quality of evidence was rated using the GRADE grading (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation, GRADE) for studies included in each clinical question. For qualitative studies, evidence was described using the good practice statement (GPS).
