Purpose of the guideline: Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is the most common type of childhood cardiomyopathy, mainly manifested by cardiac enlargement, systolic insufficiency and heart failure. The prognosis of dilated cardiomyopathy is poor and the mortality is high. Therefore, to improve the understanding of this disease, early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to improve the prognosis. At present, there is no consensus on diagnosis and treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy in children. Therefore, we gathered domestic experts in related fields to write this consensus, in order to provide guidance and suggestions for the management of pediatric dilated cardiomyopathy.
