Evidence classification method: |
Due to the limited clinical evidence available for most of therapeutic measures applied for CLE, all participants in the guideline committee agreed to develop this guideline based on both expert consensus and evidence. Voting results for each recommendation were calculated. Recommendations passing a 90% agreement or above in votes were regarded as strong consensus, and recommendations with a 70-89% agreement in votes were regarded as consensus. All recommendations in this guideline passed with a >80% agreement. |

Purpose of the guideline: |
Cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) can be divided into various subtypes, each with its distinct clinical characteristics. The treatment for patients with CLE needs to be adjusted individually, taking into account both the severity of disease, treatment response and potential side effects. The purpose of this guideline is to help dermatologists and rheumatologists better care for patients with CLE. The recommendations will be based on both evidence and experts’ consensus. |
